Concordia University will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, October 12, which is Thanksgiving Day.

No classes or instructional activities will occur. Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate university-issued identification will be able to access offices, studios and laboratories; undergraduate students will require a letter from their respective departments.

The following services will be closed on Monday, October 12:

  • Campus Retail Stores
  • FOFA Gallery
  • Leonard and Bina Ellen Art Gallery
  • Health Services
  • Le Gym
  • Le Centre (PERFORM Centre)
  • Ed Meagher Arena
  • Loyola Gymnasium
  • Shuttle buses

Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance Program will remain available to employees 24 hours a day. For support and service, contact Concordia’s external provider, Shepell-fgi, at the following numbers:

Food Services

All food service units will be closed, except the Buzz (SC Building, Loyola Campus) and the Grey Nuns Dining Hall (limited to meal-plan holders).


The Georges P. Vanier Library and the R. Howard Webster Library are both open for study only.

Important: When the Webster Library is open on holidays, use the Mackay Street entrance to the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building.


The parking lots remain open as regularly scheduled. This includes

  • the Faubourg parking garage
  • the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building parking garage
  • Loyola Campus parking lots

Tunnel access

The tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will close at 11 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, and reopen at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13.

Enjoy the long weekend!


Despite the reduced services, the advance polls in the LB atrium remain open on Monday, October 12.
