CJLO hits the Big Apple

Concordia's radio station nominated for six awards at the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City

Fourteen CJLO volunteers are attending the CMJ Music Marathon in New York City.

The station has been nominated for six CMJ College Radio Awards, including Station of the Year, Biggest Champion of the Local Scene, Music Director of the Year - Omar Husain, Best Taste in Music - Omar Husain, Will Never Sell Out - Omar Husain, and Specialty Music Director of the Year - Brian Joseph (Hip Hop) and Andrew Wieler (RPM).

The awards ceremony will take place today, October 18, on the marathon’s “College Day,” which offers panel discussions, information sessions, and networking opportunities for campus radio and industry members.

The CMJ Music Marathon, which runs from October 16 to 20, features more than 1,300 performances in more than 80 venues across New York City.

CJLO will stream live broadcasts from the event, which can be found at the CJLO website or by tuning in to 1690 AM in Montreal.
