September 30 is the deadline for students to pay their tuition fees for the 2012-13 fall term. However, since this is a Sunday, Concordia will accept and process payments until Monday, October 1 until 7 p.m.

The Government of Quebec has announced the cancellation of the increase in tuition fees. Once Concordia receives official notification from the government, the university will make the necessary adjustments to student accounts. In the meantime, students are asked to pay the tuition fees, as indicated on their current student account, before the deadline. However, students who do not pay the $8.47 per credit increase for the base tuition, for fall 2012 registration, will not be charged the late fee.

Information about the process of making these adjustments will be posted on the MyConcordia student portal log-in page.

Frequently asked questions for students

Do I have to pay the increase in tuition fees even though the Quebec premier has cancelled the increase?
Yes. Until Concordia receives official directives from the Government of Quebec, the current tuition fee structure remains in place. Please pay the amount shown on your current student account. Visit the MyConcordia student portal landing page to log in. Then look under the MyConcordia menu and click on Student Account Services. You will find your account under the section, Student’s Account.

Can I pay my tuition fees for the fall 2012 term but not pay the increase?

Until Concordia receives official notification from the Government of Quebec, the current tuition fee structure remains in place.

Will Concordia postpone the deadline for payment of tuition fees?

Because September 30 is a Sunday, we are accepting and processing payments until Monday, October 1, 7 p.m.

How is Concordia going to handle the process of making the adjustments?

Once the university receives official directives from the Government of Quebec, we will begin the process of making the adjustments to student accounts. Students will have the option of leaving the balance in their account to be applied to future charges. Students will also be able to apply for a refund.

How will I know about the process?
Concordia will post information on the landing page of the MyConcordia student portal log-in page.
