Rina Albala recently graduated from the John Molson School of Business MBA program.

Concordia alumna Rina Albala (MBA ’10) was featured recently in “Les femmes en affaires,” a special series about women business leaders on Radio-Canada, the CBC’s French-language television station. The segment, hosted by news anchor Céline Galipeau, explored the experience of women at the head of large corporations in Canada.

To better understand the role of women in the business world, Galipeau interviewed seasoned businesswomen who had reached significant levels of success and younger women who were developing their career paths. Albala provided insight on the experience of female business students and talked about aspiring businesswomen carving their place in the corporate world.

Prior to earning her MBA at the John Molson School of Business, she worked in editing and tourism and she ran her own business for 10 years. Albala also holds a degree in film production from Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

In addition to Albala, Galipeau’s report, which aired February 14 to 16, included interviews with Jacynthe Côté, Chief Executive at Rio Tinto Alcan; Monique Jérôme-Forget, former Quebec Minister of Finance and currently an advisor at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP; Monique Leroux, President of the Desjardins Group; and Madeleine Chenette, Chair of the Board of Governors at SECOR.
