Two prize draws have already been held for those who contributed to the Centraide campaign.

The winners are Donald Boisvert, Donnatella Caputo, Loni Cornax, Paul Gregory, Bernard Glover, Danièle Marcoux, Rachel Marion, Munit Merid, Gaby Miller, Sandra Robinson, Robert Roy, Uri Shalev, Nadia Signorino, and Adrian Tsang.

The prizes they’ve won, as well as the prizes yet to be given away, are announced on the Centraide website under Winners’ Circle.

The pasta lunches have been a great success. One last pasta lunch is scheduled for November 25 in the McConnell Building atrium (1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd.W.). Both President Judith Woodsworth and Vice-President External Relations and Secretary-General Bram Freedman will be serving the lunch, so don’t miss it!

Woodsworth also serves on Greater Montreal Centraide Campaign Cabinet and Freedman is this year’s campaign chair for Concordia.

Also on November 25 at the pasta lunch will be the raffle. Tickets are sold for $10 each or three for $20. Contact a Centraide Ambassador or committee member to get your tickets. The odds of winning the 46” Toshiba LCD TV or the iPad are pretty good compared to the 6/49.

Other events

On November 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., staff from the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science will hold their annual Centraide bake sale in the lobby of the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (1515 Ste. Catherine St.W.).

On November 24, in the same location, University Communications Services will hold their annual Centraide bake sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Amalia Dinut and her team will be selling samosas for Centraide on November 23 in the atrium of the Molson Building (1450 Guy St.), near room 1.109 from 10 a.m. onwards. (For those who don’t know, samosas are a delicious stuffed pastry snack.)

Read about Perry Calce’s volunteer work with Centraide and the Park Extension Youth Organization in the next issue of the Journal, on stands November 22, and on the Now site.

It’s still possible to make a donation to the campaign. Download a pledge form from the Centraide site or send an email to get a link to a secure online donation site.
