Lies about Santa? They could be good for your child
Posted on December 20, 2017

Kristen Dunfield is an Assistant Professor of Psychology. Her research looks at children, and how they interact and learn from the people around them. Specifically, Dunfield focuses on trust and its effect on human behaviour and development.

In the lead up to the holiday season, Dunfield published an op-ed in The Conversation Canada about the dilemma many parents face this time of year – telling their children the truth about Santa. The op-ed was subsequently republished in the National Post, Salon, the Daily Mail, McLean’s, and iPolitics and her research and insight was featured in an interview with Global’s Focus Montreal.
