  • La Presse + features Concordia's "cool roof time machine," designed to simulate roof soiling and weathering processes in the lab to accelerate the study of energy-conserving roofing materials. The process was developed by Hashem Akbari, professor in the Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering, in collaboration with researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
  • James McIntosh, professor of economics in the Faculty of Arts and Science, is interviewed on Radio Canada International about a new study he has led of the particular dangers to adolescents of early marijuana use. The findings were published in the journal, Health. The Bangladesh Daily Sun also covered the research. 
  • Waypoint/Vice and L'oujevipo write about v r 3 — a new project created by Pippin Barr, assistant professor of design and computation arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts and video game creator. The v r 3 project involves the creation of gallery space for virtual exhibits. The publication notes that the inaugural v r 3 exhibition will be of water, as it appears in digital representations. 
  • Data Science Central describes the book, Neural Networks and Statistical Learning (Springer Publishing, 2013), by M.N.S. Swamy, research professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Concordia Tier I Research Chair in Signal Processing, and Ke-Lin Du, affiliate associate professor in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
  • Wzaobao.com reprises an earlier New York Times report (February 18, 2015) about a study led by Gad Saad, marketing professor in the John Molson School of Business, of the influence of culture on creative thinking.
