- The National Post and Ottawa Citizen pick up a piece by Nadia Naffi, Concordia University Public Scholar, full-time faculty in the Department of Education in the Faculty of Arts and Science and PhD Candidate in educational technology, about a surge in online hate speech in Canada. In the piece, appearing originally in The Conversation Canada, Naffi notes that some observers have blamed the phenomenon on the "Trump effect". She references her study, co-authored with Ann-Louise Davidson, associate professor of education, into young people's perception of the Syrian refugee crisis and how it is influenced by social media.
- RadioCanada.ca writes that Concordia researchers are working with the Quebec Transport Ministry and the conservation organization, Corridor appalachien, on a six-month pilot project to monitor the movement of animals in the wild near four eastern townships locations noted for road kill of animals.
