Heartbleed bug

An encryption flaw called the Heartbleed bug is being called one of the biggest security threats the Internet has ever seen. The bug has affected many popular websites and services — like Gmail and Facebook — and could have quietly exposed sensitive account information over the past two years. Two professors from Concordia's Institute for Information Engineering (CIISE), Mohammad Mannan and Jeremy Clark, can comment on the risks of the virus, how we can protect ourselves and where these types of threats come from.
