Noémie Fortin receives the 2021 Leonard and Helaine Kliger Award

The MA student Noémie Fortin is the recipient of the 2021 Leonard and Helaine Kliger Award, which funds annual internships to a top graduate student. The purpose of this award is to provide experiential learning opportunities by funding an internship in a cultural community organization.

From March to July, Noémie will be interning at les éditions esse as editorial assistant for the upcoming issue themed “Sportification”. The awardee will be able to follow the entire production cycle of an issue with the esse team, from content selection to final design.

Three times a year, les éditions esse publishes esse arts + opinions, a bilingual contemporary arts magazine with a focus on multidisciplinary practices. The publication offers critical, in-depth analyses of current practices and diverse artistic and social issues through essays that approach art in relation to its various contexts.
