Art history alumna, Gabrielle Monpetit, published in the design journal Canadian Architect

Gabrielle Monpetit, a recent masters graduate in Art History, has contributed an article entitled “Faith Observed: Our Lady of the Snows, Sheshatshiu, Labrador”  to the design journal Canadian Architect. Monpetit thoughtfully approached the review of a new church project for an Innu First Nations Sheshatshiu community in Labrador. The research included an interview with Chris Woodford and Taryn Sheppard, the architects from Woodford Sheppard Architecture who re-designed and extended the Our Lady of the Snows church (built in the 1950s).
