1. Ruto, the Jubilee Government, and the ICC

Kenya, lobby brace for battle over ICC rule (Daily Nation, Kenya-based private paper, November 1 2015)
- A little over two weeks to the start of the 14th session of the Assembly of States Parties, Kenya and NGOs that support the International Criminal Court have started laying the groundwork for what could be a bruising battle.
- Kenyan lawyer Evans Monari argues that the ASP session is the only forum where it can bring up the limitations that it had collectively placed on the use of the rule in ongoing cases.
- This discussion pushed by Kenya could, according to Amnesty International, “The discussion proposed by Kenya ... could amount to political interference in the current judicial proceedings”
Rift MPs to visit ICC and support Ruto (The Star, independent Kenyan-based station, November 3 2015)
- Rift Valley MPs will travel to the Netherlands to lobby for an audit of the ICC’s witness selection
- Some 187 MPs have called for the witness selection to be discussed in the November 18-26 Assembly of State Parties meeting. They want the ASP to terminate the case against Ruto and Sang. They argue that those men should be freed
- For the MPs, the residents of Rift valley have moved on and reconciled.
Ruto asks to be excused from ICC hearings over Pope Francis' visit (The Star, independent Kenyan-based station, November 4 2015)
- Deputy President has asked ICC to excuse him from attending oral hearings scheduled for November 24, due to Pope Francis' visit to Kenya later this month.
- The Pope is set to visit him and president Kenyatta on November 25th.

Implement TJRC report to promote reconciliation (Daily Nation, independent Kenyan-based paper, November 2 2015)
- The State’s deafening silence over the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission report, especially in the wake of the ICC “fixing” saga, raises questions.
- It’s application could help reconciliation throughout Kenya
3. Al-Shabaab
Names of 50 wanted Kisumu criminals released (The Star, independent Kenyan-based station, November 1 2015)
- A list of 50 most wanted criminals who have been terrorising Kisumu residents has been released.
- Some of those suspects have been apprehended, while others are still on the run.
- Furthermore, security teams have mapped out crime spots and will enhance patrols and urged criminals seeking amnesty to surrender to the police immediately.
