1. At least 31 people executed including three public executions throughout Iran

- On June 6th, seven prisoners with drug related charges were hanged in Shiraz.
- On June 9th, 13 people have been executed throughout different Iranian cities. Those publically hanged were convicted of rape. Nearly 4000 people watched the executions.
- On June 10th, 11 prisoners were hanged in the Ghezelhesar prison of Karaj. All of these prisoners are convicted of drug offences.
- Reports by Iranian Human Rights Council indicate hat 25 prisoners have been transferred to the Ghezelhesar prison for execution. However, the number increased to 47 with an additional 22 prisoners was transferred to Ghezelhesar on June 8th.

2. Iranian parliamentary committee passes bill clarifying details of nuclear deal

- The bill outlines how Iranian government should play its role in the upcoming nuclear deal, which is to be finalized.
- The bill requires that all sanctions on Iran by the European Union, U.S Congress, UN Security Council be removed.
- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have standard access to Iran’s nuclear sites but should not be given access to scientists, military, non nuclear sites.
- Iran should not be restricted in acquiring peaceful nuclear technology and pursuing research and development.
- Finally, a group of seven MPs should oversee the quality of the implementation of the bill.
3. Foreign delegation arrives in Iran

- On June 6th, A European Union Parliament delegation containing eight officials arrived in Tehran at the invitation of Chairman of Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
- The delegation arrived to discuss bilateral parliamentary issues and foreign affairs.
- It’s an opportunity for the delegation to analyze Iran’s internal issues such as human rights abuses and mass atrocities against minorities. Such issues must play an important part in the upcoming discussions on Iran’s nuclear deal
