1. Three bodies found in Bambari

  • MINUSCA troops and Red Cross staff found the bodies of three minors in a pit near a major road leaving Bambari.
  • A local official declined to give details, but said that they have opened an investigation into the deaths.
  • Other sources said that the youths - ages 21, 17, and 16 - had left their families to go into the bush in search of food and honey, but never returned. Their bodies were found four days later. 
2. Grenade blast injures five in Bangui

  • Five people were seriously injured in a grenade blast in Bangui's KM5 neighborhood on the afternoon of 23 March.
  • According to local sources, the blast occurred during a dispute between youths over payment for goods.
  • Security sources said that the person responsible for the blast had been arrested after attempting to flee.
