The Solar Energy Conversion Group hit a few more milestones in these past few weeks. We now have our first official PhD candidate--Zujhar Singh passed his Research Proposal and Comprehensive exam in the face of some tough questioning (and remotely from India). Congratulations! Once he can rejoin us in person, he will be continuing his work on dye-sensitized photoelectrochemical cells.
To end the Winter 2021 term, five (!) group undergraduates defended their theses/specialization projects. Congratulations to Victora, Sollavi, Frances, Tyler, and Linyi for doing an awesome job presenting your outstanding research to members of our department and all passing with flying colors. Best of luck in your future endeavours, although we'll see some of you around the lab in the not-too-distant future.
Finally, joining the lab for Summer 2021 are Moren Varappiragasam and Meera Ganesh as CHEM 419 Specialization Project students. They'll be taking the reins from Victoria and Sollavi to continue their work on perovskite nanocrystals.
