Three Scholars Awarded FRQSC (Fonds de Recherche du Québec: Société et Culture) Fellowships

Lisa Moore, who is in the first year of our PhD program, has received a fellowship for her dissertation project entitled Des filles face au tribunal: La délinquance chez les jeunes Montréalaises, 1950-1977 (with her title in French pour les besoins de la cause).

Arriving from the UQAM doctoral program is Sophie Doucet, who has received a post-doctoral fellowship for her Concordia-based project, Soeurs, de mère en filles: Fonctions de la sororité dans la bourgeoisie montréalaise, de l'industrialisation àa la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Recent PhD graduate, Audrey Mallet, has also received an FRQSC post-doctoral fellowship for her project entitled La métropole face à la décolonisation: Les villes thermales à l'épreuve de la guerre d'Algérie (1954-1962), which will be based at the University of Toronto.
