The School of Irish Studies was very pleased to recently welcome Pat Breen, Irish Minister for Employment and Small Business and Irish Ambassador to Canada Jim Kelly who heard from all our faculty, several graduate and undergraduate students, as well as Chair of the Canadian Irish Studies Foundation Pamela McGovern.

This occasion marks Ambassador Kelly's second visit to the School since becoming Ambassador last August.

Minister Breen's visit demonstrates the close ties between the School and the Irish government, a longstanding relationship of which we continue to be immensely proud.

On behalf of the School of Irish Studies, a warm thank-you to Minister Breen, Ambassador Kelly, and Ms. McGovern!
