Quebec has recently updated its privacy laws and regulations that govern how public institutions like Concordia handle Personal Information. The responsibility to abide by the legislation is shared by the University and the individual employee.

These laws entail significant financial penalties and reputational risks for individuals and the University if not followed, making it vital that all Concordia employees are aware of our obligations to protect the Personal Information in our care.

The Privacy Office offers online and in-person privacy trainings concerning these privacy laws and our responsibilities for protecting Personal Information.

Other training formats

Zoom sessions are offered throughout the year (see other dates at top left) and asynchronous trainings are in development. If you would like to schedule a training specifically for your department or area, please contact privacy.office@concordia.ca.
