Experience Shabbat with Mile End Chavurah, a creative, grassroots, urban Jewish community. Shabbat, which starts on Friday evening at Sundown is a time for rest, ritual, rejuvenation, and food. We'll travel from campus together to a community member's home, experience a Shabbat service (which can include communal prayers, readings, and rituals), and enjoy a pescatarian dinner with community members.

Come ready to learn and chat about Jewish community and tradition! This event is part of MfSC's Sacred Site Visits, which seek to cultivate religious literacy and build interfaith bridges through immersive experiences.  Students who participate in 3 or more visits this academic year and complete a short reflection are eligible for recognition on their Co-Curricular Record. All members of the Concordia community can register; priority will be given to current Concordia students. Please email mfsc@concordia.ca with any accessibility needs before Nov 19 so we can coordinate with our hosts.
