Concordia Health Services is making sexually transmitted infections testing easier and more convenient with a special clinic: just drop by. Testing is quick, easy, and important for your health.

If you're sexually active, regular STI testing is an important part of taking care of your overall health.

How it works

  • If you have a penis, you’ll be asked to pee a small amount into a cup in a nearby bathroom. It’s best if you haven’t peed for about an hour before the test.
  • If you have a vagina, you’ll be shown how to take a sample using a swab in a nearby bathroom. It’s quick, simple, and doesn’t hurt.
  • The whole test only takes a few minutes.
  • Your results will be ready in a few days. You can book an appointment right away to get your results at Health Services.

Bring your Medicare or Blue Cross card so we can send your sample to the lab!

Why get tested?

  • If you’re sexually active, it’s a good idea to get tested for STIs every 6–12 months. Make it part of your regular health routine.
  • STIs like chlamydia and gonorrhea are becoming more common in Quebec, especially among people aged 15 to 24 (university-age).
  • About half of sexually active young people will get an STI by age 25.
  • Gonorrhea and chlamydia can be treated and cured.
  • You can have an STI without noticing any symptoms. If it’s not treated, it can still harm your health and be passed on to others.
