For this lab walk through sub-series, 4th Space partnered with 3 current courses, led by Rebecca Duclos, Juan Ortiz Apuy, and Alice Jarry to allow their students, who are variously engaging in critical materiality, to have access to these visits with researchers live. Cecilia McKinnon, an intermedia artist and curator, is acting as our facilitator and interviewer for this series, and has gathered questions submitted by students from these courses.

Join Navid Navab as we explore the Topological Media Lab, a trans-disciplinary atelier-laboratory for collaborative research creation. Its projects serve as case studies in the construction of fresh modes of cultural knowledge and the critical studies of media arts and techno-science, bringing together practices of speculative inquiry, scientific investigation and artistic research-creation practices. In this episode we meet Navid in the Engineering and Visual Arts building.

How can you participate? Register for the Zoom meeting or watch live on YouTube.
