In an era of escalating culture wars, universities are increasingly called upon to define their role in public life: should they take positions on pressing social issues or remain institutionally neutral? This event brings together three leading experts on campus politics in an age of polarization—Senior Manager for PEN America’s Freedom to Learn program Amy Reid (New College of Florida), political scientist Jacob Levy (McGill University), and sociologist Marc Lafrance (Concordia University)—for an in-depth discussion on the politics of knowledge production and the responsibilities of academic institutions amid shifting expectations and intensifying public scrutiny.

How can you participate? Join us in person or online by registering for the Zoom Meeting or watching live on YouTube.
