Please join us on Thursday May 29 at 1:30 pm for an introduction to the Campus Lab initiative at the Next-Generation Cities Institute (2155 Guy Street, 14th floor) downtown.
The Campus Lab is being initiated to expand opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and partner organizations to collaborate on impact and innovation projects, using academic knowledge and know-how to address campus challenges in new ways. Campus Lab supports efforts related to a variety of university action plans and initiatives related to decarbonization, health and wellness, biodiversity, food systems, and more.
What to expect:
1:30-2:30 pm: Info session and Q&A (including info about the Volt-Age campus living lab initiative)
2:30-4:00 pm: Optional workshop to build agendas, cultivate project ideas, and match needs and capacities.
Why participate in the workshop?
Because the Campus Lab workshop will help you as a researcher and instructor to—
Build and strengthen connections with key staff members leading Campus Master Plan, the Sustainability Action Plan, and energy and decarbonization initiatives.
Understand the objectives, needs, and priorities associated with various university action plans and major initiatives.
Identify opportunities for course-based, capstone, and thesis projects for your students.
Please join us on May 29 as we launch this initiative and work together to organize a first wave of collaborative campus-based projects.
To RSVP, please fill out this form before Monday May 12.
