Join the Concordia University Alumni Association to recognize and honour our outstanding community members at the 34th annual Alumni Recognition Awards. We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of this year’s cohort.

Emcee: Sudha Krishnan, BA 99

Sudha Krishnan is a multi-platform host and senior journalist at CBC Montreal.

Born and raised in Montreal, Krishnan worked as a local reporter at CBC Montreal before heading out west for 10 years, covering Alberta and Saskatchewan for Global, Citytv and Omni. 

She returned to her hometown in 2012 as the late lineup editor for CBC Montreal News at 11.  She took on other roles as a host, radio newsreader and reporter, covering the floods of 2017, the Indigenous blockades and the COVID-19 crisis in long-term care homes.

Krishnan has won awards for her reporting and is a proud alumna of the Concordia University Department of Journalism.

Outside journalism, Krishnan is a Indian Classical dancer and teacher and loves power walking in and around Montreal’s vibrant neighbourhoods.
