Speaker bio
Jessica Brown is a residential real estate broker with Remax in Quebec's Eastern Townships region. After eight years in the real estate business, she is considered one of the top brokers in the area.
As a graduate of Concordia's Communications Studies program, she built a successful career in journalism, first working in radio at CJAD, CIQC, 940NEWS, then moving into television at CTV, CBC and GlobalTV as a reporter and news anchor. Brown still writes occasionally for the MUHC's MONTRÉAL enSANTÉ magazine and local newspapers.
Brown is very involved in her community. She is one of the organizers of the Knowlton Academy breakfast program, serves on the board of directors for the Knowlton Players, an amateur theatre group. She volunteers for different community groups, particularly those serving children and the health care needs of her community.
She is the mother of three children, the eldest of whom is in his third year at Concordia, also in Communication Studies. In her spare time, Brown loves to ski, sing with a local choir group and be on stage acting!
