Join us on September 28th, 2022 at 5:30 PM (EST) to listen to Nick Houseman, co-founder of Azzera, speak about his new company focused on developing a marketplace for voluntary carbon offsets. Azzera’s mission is making our climate change response effortless by offering retail, brokerage and trade solutions to access the voluntary and compliance markets. It is dedicated to developing the world’s first fully automated marketplace for trading voluntary carbon offsets on a global scale. The goal of Azzera is to bring ease and efficiency to the purchase of carbon offsets for individuals and businesses that will bring investment to carbon offset projects that can make a significant difference in reducing CO2 and other emissions today and support a carbon neutral future. With over 25 years of experience in their respective fields, the founding team created Azzera to alleviate the challenges of measuring carbon emissions and to develop carbon reduction strategies for individuals and businesses. Come and learn from Nick as he presents Azzera’s mission and vision to steer our society towards Net Zero.

About the Speakers

Nick Houseman – Co-Founder of Azzera

Having vast experience in business, Nick is currently co-owner of Elitavia (www.elitavia.com), one of Europe’s largest mixed fleet business aircraft operators. Nick is also the founder of Zenith Jet (www.zenithjet.com) a technical consulting services company based in Montreal that provides technical and sustainability services to business jet owners looking for advice related to sustainability, buying, selling, refurbishments, new aircraft completions, and aircraft operations. Since starting Zenith Jet over 14 years ago, Nick has more recently been focusing the business on advising clients on sustainability and emissions reduction options. Prior to founding his own company Nick worked at Bombardier for 9 years in various roles including strategy, production, sales, flight operations, and marketing. Nick is, and has been, an investor and board member for several companies focused on technology, marketing, and simulation.

Nick has been a long time supporter of Concordia University through the Marjorie Houseman Bursary that he set up to support access to education for those in financial need. Nick has also been a board member for 6 years, and a judge for 15 years, at the John Molson School of Business MBA International Case competition at Concordia. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal and an MBA from Concordia University in Montreal. Nick is married with 3 children and lives in Montreal.
