Exhibition of the Michael Eagan's Donation to Archival & Special Collections McLaughlin Library of the University of Guelph.

Montreal, October 26, 2026. Launched this Fall, CARTE BLANCHE is a new research-creation series presented by Concordia University’s School of Performance, bringing together faculty members, graduate students and invited guests to share and explore creative work in theatre, dance and music. This event is open to all. To inaugurate the CARTE BLANCHE, Senior Lecturer Raymond Marius Boucher proposes an exhibition of the work of scenic designer, Michael Eagan (1940-2022).

Boucher retained some of Eagan’s three-dimensional works that were not included in the main collection, while the rest of Eagan’s legacy was donated to Archival & Special Collections at the University of Guelph’s McLaughlin Library in 2022.

As the collection is transferred to Guelph, Boucher, together with current students and alumni, will present part of this remarkable collection.

A panel featuring special guests, including former student of Eagan and scenographer Jonas Veroff Bouchard and scenic painter and artist Daniel Bartley, will gather at 2 p.m. to honour Michael Eagan’s legacy.
