‘not a big deal’ is the result of a dive into the meaning-making of dance and performance. Coming from departments ranging from Art Education, Psychology, Communications Studies, Film, Theatre and Contemporary Dance, the students have created 17 short works, each of them an attempt to consciously bring notions of dramaturgy and dramaturgical thinking into the creative process. To the extent possible, they have all had the opportunity to be performer, maker and dramaturg. This entire evening is of their making – please join us!!
