This event will highlight the voices of artists who were involved in the massive Québec student strike of 2012.
We will hear from local artists who actively explored the intersections of art and activism within the context of the student strike and collective revolt against neo-liberal economics that took place on the streets of Quebec for months in 2012.
There will be an exhibit of visual photographs, posters, and visual elements related to the 2012 Student Strike.
Wages For Students, an updated publication of the collective text published in the fall of 1975 by the Wages for Students collective, was published in 2016 and was edited by Jakob Jakobsen, María Berríos, and Malav Kanuga and published by Common Notions. There will be copies present at the event and words shared by the editors.
