Mariana Rocha

Mariana Rocha is a filmmaker who feels passionate about producing narratives that are characterized by showing how a person’s past shapes their identity; how external elements such as traditions, culture, society, among others, have an impact on how someone perceives the world in a certain way. From a Mexican perspective, she is currently researching the connection between death and traditions.

Mariana is a Mexican film director and screenwriter. Her last film METANOIA was screened at Cinemex (Mexico, 2021) and as part of Tecnológico de Monterrey Film Production 2020 final projects. Her short documentary Broken Memories (2019) was screened at Rosalío Solano Film Theater by DOQUMENTA. Other films she has worked on have been exhibited in galleries and cultural spaces.
