Isabela Cossio Bedoya

Thesis supervisor: Alessandra Renzi

Isabela recently completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies (Concordia University). She is interested in participatory and performative documentaries, filmmaking and candid photography. She had the chance to work and direct multiple independent documentary projects during her last years developing her technical skills and her work ethic. She is currently working as a research assistant with Kim Sawchuck at ACT Lab (now AiD) doing filmmaking as well as photography work. In 2022, she worked as a production assistant in a Montreal Studio whose mission is to advance the social, cultural as well as economic inclusion of individuals on the autism spectrum. This experience strengthened her desire to combine creative and social aspects in video production.
