Akira Oikawa

Akira graduated with a BA in Communication Studies in April of 2024.
His research studies the impact of Generative AI on creative media production and education. Drawing on his experience as a soundscape artist, he has been working as a Teaching Assistant for sound production courses in the Communication Studies department.
His international background has also inspired him to volunteer at Otakuthon Montreal since 2022, where he serves as a Japanese–English–French translator and interpreter.
In addition to his academic work, Akira works as a freelance webjournalist for the French media outlet ActuaBD. In his free time, he enjoys playing board games and photography.
