Zero Waste Week

The Zero Waste Challenge is about engaging our community in learning more about zero waste and reducing waste in their daily lives.

The more you do, the more chances you have to win prizes!

• Buy the “ugly” produce at the grocery store
• Sign up as a zero waste volunteer on campus
• Visit the Zero Waste Services page to get informed.
• Let an event organizer on campus know about Concordia’s Sustainable Event Guide
• Make a membership at CUCCR and check out some free materials
• Visit le Frigo Vert with produce bags for some bulk food shopping
• Identify some PLA or PET plastic in your home—materials that can be transformed at CP3
• Use the cano cup service when you visit the Hive for coffee
• Join a “Buy Nothing” group
• Join the Zero Waste Discord Group
• Identify a low-waste grocery shop near you
• Have free lunch at People’s Potato with your reusable container
• Get an additional point for any activity you take a photo of, post and tag us in! @zerowasteconcordia

• Participate in the Bioblitz Biodiversity Surveing
• Visit the Concordia University Center for Creative Reuse (CUCCR)
• Attend the Concordia Precious Plastics Project (CP3) workshop and recruitment event
• Attend the ABCompost Smoothie Event (*for Resident Students only)

• Collect all the waste you produce from April 3-6th.
• Attend the closing event on April 12 to hear the panel discussion on plastic bans and enter the draw for a prize!

• March 27 11-1pm in the EV lobby (SGW)
• March 28 11-1pm outside the Hive in the Hall Building (SGW)
• March 29 11-1pm in VL Library Atrium (Loyola) 

To help challenge participants with their week, we are offering optional free supplies! If any of you need any of the following, you can drop by during the kit-pickup hours to take what you need.

• Waterbottle/mug
• Reusable fabric bag
• Jar
• A pin that says “help me go zero waste”

*Items are avilable on a first-come-first served basis
