Conversations in Contemporary Art

Lecture series

Conversations in Contemporary Art invites local, national, and international artists and cultural producers to share their art, ideas, and creative processes through artist talks, lectures, and public dialogues. This series seeks to engage the Concordia community, and the wider Montreal publics, in conversations about contemporary culture, current events, thinking-through-making, and the role of the artist in society.

"At a time when nuanced and generative public conversations can feel like they are in crisis, we hope to double down—believing that grounded and complex dialogue is fundamental to our individual and collective growth; and that artists have the power to transform society, in uniquely creative ways."

—Jaret Vadera, Director, Conversations in Contemporary Art
