AEGIS

AEGIS is a gamified platform that teaches cybersecurity awareness through an engaging, habit-driven experience accessible to anyone, anywhere. Set in an interactive city inspired by Ancient Greece and expanding across time and eras, users learn to recognize and respond to real cyber threats through short, practical challenges that go beyond theory. Aegis won the Public’s Choice Award and a Judge’s Award at Demo Day.

Assistay

Assistay introduces a platform as "Truth Layer" that unifies and verifies information across hotel services, creating the coherent experience guests expect and the foundation of the upcoming Agentic Crew. Their system allows hotels to manage and address any issue a guest has shared in a simple, easy-to-track, way.

Assura

Assura is a mobile platform that guides drivers step-by-step on how to proceed immediately after a car accident, enabling seamless information exchange and generating structured reports that improve the insurance claims process.

Har-V

Har-V is the organizational memory system manufacturing teams never had. It learns from existing documents, interactions and design history, then delivers the right knowledge to the right engineer at the right moment, before the costly mistake is made. Har-V won a Judge’s Award at Demo Day.

Misc Robotics

Winner of Most Innovative Award and the Judge's Award at Demo Day

Misc Robotics offers robots specifically for robotic labs, catering to the specific needs of engineers, professors and students as they develop new ways of making robotic movements more efficient. They do it for cheaper too (most of the time).

WAREBOT

WAREBOT is an AMR (autonomous mobile robot) designed to optimize internal logistics within warehouses, hangars, and industrial environments. It automates the transport of tools, parts, and materials, reducing non-value-added movement and enabling personnel to focus on higher-impact tasks. Built to be cost-effective and easy to deploy, WAREBOT provides a practical alternative to more complex or rigid automation solutions.

Edge Star AI

Winner of the Most Innovative Award

Edge Star AI delivers a breakthrough in residential lawn care with a fully autonomous, eco-friendly lawn maintenance robot that intelligently manages every aspect of lawn upkeep. From mowing and weeding to edging and aerating, the robot provides homeowners with a hassle-free experience, reducing manual labor and expenses, and allowing for pristine lawn care at the touch of a button.

GoniVision

GoniVision is developing an AI computer vision platform to replace manual goniometers and improve subjective range-of-motion measurements. Their equipment-free tool provides precise 2D and 3D measurements, allowing clinicians to move beyond inconsistent 2D data to comprehensive 3D projections. By introducing new clinical metrics, the company enable providers to monitor recovery in daily activities without expensive MRI equipment. GoniVision is also the winner of the Public Choice’s Award. And the Judges’ award as well. 

HireUp

HireUp was conceived as a tool that revolutionizes tech recruitment by offering a faster, more effective, and unbiased method of identifying top talent through technical competitions. As the demand for tech professionals continues to surge, traditional hiring methods struggle to keep up, often leading to high costs, extended hiring times, and the risk of overlooking quality candidates. HireUp provides a solution that not only streamlines the process but also ensures that companies find the right talent efficiently and cost-effectively.  

Pryvnt

Pryvnt is an external ankle brace that offers soccer and football players a revolutionary solution for ankle support and injury prevention without compromising comfort or performance. Designed to fit outside the cleat, this innovative brace eliminates the bulk and discomfort associated with traditional internal braces, allowing athletes to maintain full mobility while staying protected.

Ready Plan Go

Ready Plan Go is developing Canada's first AI tax automation system, designed specifically to address the accounting labor crisis through complete workflow automation of tax filings. ​Ready Plan Go builds the AI-powered back office for tax payers - automating document collection, data entry, and filing so firms can grow without adding staff. They have secured several clients and are active both in the US and Canada.

Re:CON

Winner of the Most-Innovative Project Award

Re:CON is developing an industrial level automated fiber placement treatment system for the aerospace and defense sectors, designed specifically to address the production bottlenecks of composite manufacturing through the elimination of the autoclave step. Re:CON builds high-performance technology for in-situ Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) of thermoplastics—automating the curing process, achieving 87% faster production cycles while maintaining 100% material strength. They have attracted high interest from major industry players and material suppliers, and are currently progressing through the lab validation and pilot testing phases. 

Smooth Detector

Smooth Detector is a next-generation AI platform to detect fake-news and perform content verification. Their multimodal fake-news detection API that integrates deep neural networks algorithm with the ability to quantify uncertainty. Smooth Detector is able to detect misinformation before it spreads using a mix of real-time detection, probabilistic intelligence through a lightweight application integrating into most CMS, browsers or editorial workflow.

Tangify

Tangify solutions is a company building a portable monitoring system designed specifically for beef cattle producers on free-ranging, grass-fed farms, capable of providing average weight variation over time. This system directly addresses the challenges that farmers face when tracking remotely cattle growth efficiently and responding promptly to changes in weight changes, which is crucial for optimizing herd health, pasture management, and overall farm productivity. 

Temperise

Temperise has developed a patented portable thermal battery designed to replace Li-ion batteries in portable heating devices. Their technology focuses on providing a more sustainable, cost-effective, and functional alternative for generating heat on the go. Unlike Li-ion batteries, which the company identifies as costly and prone to functionality issues in heating devices, Temperise battery is biodegradable, provides 1000 Watts of power, and operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -50°C to +60°C.

Abraider

Winner of Most Innovative Award

Abraider, is building the first-ever handheld device that braids afro-textured hair fast, consistently, and effortlessly. A simpler and faster alternative to braiding by hand. It aims to make braiding accessible, affordable, and efficient for individuals of all walks of life. Abraider ensures that everyone from consumers to salon professionals - can enjoy a seamless braiding experience. 

HomeEatz

HomeEatz was a community-powered platform for authentic, homemade food. Built to scale while maintaining quality & safety for everyone. HomeEatz connected home cooks to customers wanting to order home-like food.

JAMS

Winner of Judge's Award

JAMS is an augmented reality music platform designed to help beginner guitarists overcome the "uphill battle" of learning an instrument. By providing instant, AI-powered feedback and a social system with leaderboards, the mission of the platform is to reduce the 90% dropout rate seen in first-year students by making fundamentals more engaging. 

Keaty

Winner of Judge's Award

Keaty is a chatbot assistant app designed to help students manage their time, find university information, plan ahead and connect with relevant resources in a more effective and faster way. Their goal is to afford students more time for studying and less time spent on worrying. 

Lodavo

Lodavo makes saving money fun and exciting. Founded by students passionate about personal finance and technology, the app incentivizes saving by giving away tickets based on the amount saved. Tickets enter draws to win prizes, combining the benefits of saving with the excitement of winning.​

Metabolight

Winner of the Most Innovative Award and Judge's Award

Metabolight is a biotechnology company focused on accelerating the development of sustainable chemicals through advanced screening and fermentation technologies. The team utilizes a specialized platform to streamline the discovery and production of bio-based materials using a high-throughput method.

Ploomba

Winner of Judge's Award

Ploomba is an agritech startup driven to revolutionize farming through advanced robotics and AI. Ploomba is revolutionizing agriculture with autonomous robots and AI analytics for sustainable farming.  The technology consists of an autonomous wagon, an agro app, and an data analysis platform integrating robotics, cameras, and AI to help small- to large-scale farmers optimize yields while simplifying labor-intensive tasks.

QuoteNet

Winner of Public’s Choice Award and the Judge's Award

QuoteNet is a mobile app that helps contractors estimate painting projects using the latest augmented reality technology and AI. The unique software solution meets contractors’ needs by providing accurate and fast estimations for their projects. 

2023

BetterU

BetterU was a platform allowing trainers, coaches, and nutritionists to sign up and create their own profiles, helping them to ease the challenges of finding new clients in the absence of social media following. The app allowed users to find the right professional who met their fitness and health objectives, providing them with a variety of choices and making it easy to book a session with the person of their choice.​

CAPMAI

Winner of the Audience Award and the Most Innovative Award

CAPMAI designed a software solution consisting of advanced add-on diagnostic features that can be easily incorporated into the existing capsule endoscopy manufacturers’ solutions. The proposed technology is a trained Deep Learning model that can accurately classify capsule endoscopic images based on their visual characteristics, leading to more accurate diagnosis.

Nova Food

Nova Food is your “all-in-one” grocery companion app, here to help you save money, eat healthier, and look after the environment making grocery shopping a breeze. Simply take a picture of your grocery receipt with our in-app scanner and Nova Food will display insightful information in the form of financial, dietary, and environmental advice.

2022

Alvia

Winner of Judge's Award

Alvia’s mission is to protect communities from wildfires and identify high-risk areas using a combination of wildfire threat assessment tools, working with both drone and mapping solutions. Alvia is actively servicing a large industrial client.

Microlock

Winner of Most Innovative Award

Microlock introduced a hand scanner that assessed hand hygiene quality and served as a remote auditor to decrease the spread of infection and track potential outbreaks. 

OurPwr

Winner of Judge's Award

Formerly known as RLP Industries, OurPwr is a technology solution helping women feel safer in public and private spaces. The security system developed as an application to send an emergency alert when the wearer or user feels under threat. OurPwr is still active and will launch in June 2026. OurPwr was awarded funding to continue the technology development through the GCS Innovation Fund Phase II.

Parklive

Winner of the Audience Award

Parklive was designed as the ultimate parking solution in the Montreal city centre area and beyond. As a mobile application, Parklive effortlessly addressed all parking needs using pre-planned commutes, automatic location of parking spots, and analyzing parking schedules.

Xact

Named Most Innovative Start-up 

Xact was an application designed to accurately position patients during X-Rays for better imaging quality using machine learning and sensors to guide patient’s correct positioning. 

Yetti SRB

Yetti SRB was designed as an effortless snow removal solution using a fully electric remote controlled and powerful robot that was easy to use without the need of a complicated setup.
