Internship guidelines for Specialization students

Please familiarize yourself with this information, which is provided to you as part of your internship package.

  1. You are a guest at school, please govern yourself accordingly; while at school, follow the school’s rules and the school’s workday schedule. Example: you should arrive at the start of the school day and leave at the end of the day, regardless of your teacher’s schedule.
  2. You will start your university classes before the internship in the schools starts. Your Concordia instructor will provide information about the internship during the first class.
  3. It is expected that students will have to travel to their internship sites. It will be a great opportunity for you to experience your future working environment. Concordia University makes every effort to accommodate student’s needs by providing sites in different languages, religious and geographic areas, to answer as many requests as possible and to give students a diversity of experiences.
  4. Once you are assigned to a particular site, there will be no changes.
  5. Your Concordia instructor and teaching supervisor are responsible for assessing your internship.

Please make sure that the following documents are returned to the University:

  1. Completed and signed evaluation forms
  2. Signed letter of attestation
  3. Timesheet report

Please note that you cannot be paid for your internship.
