Changes to after-hours access in the LB Building
As of June 28, the J.W. McConnell (LB) Building will remain accessible; however, it will be locked outside of regular operating hours due to changes in staffing at the Campus Safety and Prevention Services (CSPS) service desk in the LB Atrium.
As outlined in the Policy on Hours of Operation, Access Outside the Hours of Operation and Working Alone or in Isolation (VPSS-4), doors will be locked:
- Monday to Friday: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: 9:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
After-hours access
Webster Library services, the LB parking garage, and the LB Building will remain accessible during locked periods. However, all after-hours entry must begin at the Henry F. Hall (H) Building (Bishop Street entrance only).
All after-hours entry to the LB Building must begin at the Henry F. Hall (H) Building (Bishop Street entrance only). Follow arrows to the new after hours entrance.
Individuals must sign in at the CSPS service desk in the Hall Building and present a valid Concordia ID or proof of parking before proceeding through the tunnel to the LB Building.
Students without a Concordia ID can visit the Student ID card webpage for instructions on obtaining one.
Exiting and re-entering
Exiting the LB Building will remain available at any time. However, re-entry during locked periods must be completed through the Hall Building entrance and requires a sign-in and Concordia ID or proof of parking each time. Please keep these items with you.

All exterior doors are alarmed and must not be propped open. Attempting entry via LB exterior doors will trigger an alarm.
