Cleaning schedules updated across Concordia’s campuses
Facilities Management has updated cleaning schedules across Concordia’s campuses following revisions to the university's custodial services contract. The university is adjusting its custodial service levels within a context of structural budget challenges.
The revised schedules change cleaning frequencies in some spaces. High-traffic areas, including washrooms and libraries, will continue to receive frequent service, while some administrative, academic and common spaces will be cleaned less frequently.
As shared spaces, campus facilities are used by the entire university community. Everyone can help keep these spaces clean and welcoming by taking care of shared areas, disposing of waste and recycling in the appropriate bins and leaving spaces ready for the next person.
Facilities Management recognizes that changes to cleaning frequencies may affect members of the university community and will continue to monitor service delivery and respond to reported concerns.

Reporting cleaning and maintenance concerns
If a space appears to have been missed during scheduled cleaning, students, faculty and staff should contact the Facilities Service Centre by emailing facilities@concordia.ca or calling 514-848-2400.
Many campus spaces have Near Field Communication (NFC) verification tags that allow Facilities Management to verify when an area was last serviced. When reporting a concern, provide the building and room number and, where available, the location of the NFC tag.
