SGW & LOYOLA CAMPUSES: Installation of NFC tags across university to support cleaning operations
To the University Community
Facilities Management is currently undertaking the installation of Near Field Communication (NFC) tags within door frames across most buildings on both campuses. These Concordia‑branded tags are small non‑intrusive stickers used by authorized Facilities Management staff and the University’s custodial service provider to log and assess cleaning activities.
This initiative will support more accurate identification of cleaning needs, enhanced quality control, and improved monitoring of cleaning trends across campus facilities. The NFC tags do not collect personal information and are used solely for operational reporting purposes.
To ensure the successful and uninterrupted implementation of this initiative, it is essential that these NFC tags not be removed, altered, or tampered with once installed. The cooperation of the University community is greatly appreciated.
