Henry F. Hall Building terrace to partially reopen June 1

Part of the terrace at the Henry F. Hall (H) Building will reopen on June 1 as work continues on the Hall stairwell and terrace redesign project.

Access to the terrace will be available through the Mackay Street entrance only. Just under half of the terrace will reopen, while the remaining section will stay closed as construction continues.

The reopened area will include seating, brickwork and landscaped planters. While flowers have been planted, they are not yet in bloom.

Please note:

• The terrace will not be wheelchair accessible at this stage, as the ramp remains closed while outstanding deficiencies are addressed.
• Intermittent construction noise may be heard from the section of the terrace that remains closed.
• Access to the closed portion of the terrace will not be permitted.
• Bookings for the terrace will not be permitted until the full renovation project has been completed.

The full terrace is expected to reopen by the end of the summer.

The partial reopening provides additional outdoor seating space while major work continues on the City of Montreal’s Ste. Catherine Street West project near the Sir George Williams Campus.
