The J.W. McConnell (LB) Building will be closed from Thursday, April 9 at 10 p.m. to Friday, April 10 at 8 a.m. This closure is due to a planned water shutdown required for work by the City of Montreal as part of the Ste. Catherine Street West project.

During this shutdown:

  • The building will be fully closed, with no access permitted to students, faculty, staff or visitors.
  • The parking lot will close at 10 p.m. Access will be permitted for vehicles exiting the lot.
  • Domestic water service will be unavailable throughout the building.
  • Washrooms, kitchens and all water-dependent services will be out of service.

Normal operations will resume once water service has been restored and all systems have been verified.

Facilities Management is working closely with municipal partners to minimize disruption and complete this work safely and efficiently.
