Graduate Fellowships: Call for Applications 2021-2022

The Social Justice Centre is offering 4 graduate student fellowships for the academic year 2021-2022.

We offer four bursaries of $5,000 each. The recipients will receive the title of “Graduate student fellow” at the Centre and be portrayed on our website.

Application procedure
Applicants should send an email to sjc@concordia.ca by Oct 15, 2021 (by midnight)
with the following information:

  1. The applicant’s name, degree and department
  2. Thesis supervisor’s name and department
  3. The title of the project

The following should be attached as separate PDFs:

  1. An updated academic cv
  2. Current transcript
  3. A brief (max 2 pages) description of the applicant’s project that clearly states the research question, hypotheses (if applicable), the project’s connection to social justice and the proposed timeline of the project

Eligibility and selection criteria
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at Concordia University. Priority will be given to candidates at the writing stage of their thesis (MA or PhD).

Expectations
Fellows are expected to (1) work on their research project, (2) give a talk presenting their work to the members of the Centre and (3) attend all events held by the Centre
Please note that while we hope to offer a working space for fellows, we cannot guarantee it.
