Concordia Greenhouse Volunteer Orientation

Love houseplants? Like getting your hands dirty? Join the Concordia Greenhouse volunteer team and help care for its tropical plant collection.

As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to:

• Learn plant care and watering needs
• Help with pest control, propagation and repotting
• Support greenhouse events and sales
• Get involved in plant and urban agriculture projects

No plant expertise required! Whether you want to learn the basics or bring your own ideas, the greenhouse team will help you get started.

Volunteers work with soil and potting mix containing peat. Some amendments contain dried, inert animal by-products such as blood and bone meal. No heavy lifting required.
