This three-part psychoeducational series aims to create a welcoming space for students to learn about menstrual health through a wellbeing, mental health, and equity lens. Open to both menstruators and non-menstruators, the workshops explore how social norms, stigma, and healthcare systems shape our experiences of menstruation. Grounded in menstrual equity and gender-affirming care, the series aims to normalize conversations about periods, validate diverse experiences, and promote more informed, compassionate support, on campus and beyond.
Courtney Kirkby (she/her) is a holistic uterine care worker. She is a registered massage therapist, a peristeam facilitator, and doula. She has trained in multiple abdominal therapies and menstrual charting. Courtney believes this knowledge is our birthright and is an advocate for prevention based integrated healthcare in Quebec.
She is the co-founder of the Concordia Menstrual Health & Trans ScarWork Clinic, Tiger Lotus Coop, Community Healing Days, and Studio 414.
