This workshop is part of the CTL's Teaching with Generative AI series.
This workshop explores how faculty can guide students in using all-purpose GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for self-assessment and feedback on their assignments. Participants will learn strategies to empower students to leverage GenAI in conjunction with course rubrics, enhancing the development of critical evaluation skills, and freeing in the instructor’s time and resources.
During the session, participants will:
Participants will gain experience determining how to guide students to use GenAI for self-assessment, strategies for integrating this approach into their courses, and resources for addressing ethical considerations and promoting responsible GenAI use among students.

*No experience using Generative AI is required for this workshop. Participants at all levels are welcome.
