Cory Hunlin is a Tsilhqot'in artist from Tsideldel (Redstone, BC), raised in Vancouver and now living in TiohtiĆ :ke (Montreal, QC). Hunlin explores ways to connect with the public through beadwork and photography. The artist is deeply involved in their community and takes advantage of art markets/workshops to connect with people and share their knowledge. Beading is also a way to reconnect with their heritage while navigating through this platform as a means to keep traditions going and start new ones. As a Two-Spirit, they want to reclaim their place in the art world and see art as an opportunity to spread awareness about Two-Spirit people's.
