Eugène Ionesco’s The Bald Soprano is a masterful classic of the Theatre of the Absurd.

An « anti-play" about the breakdown of language and the emptiness of middle-class life.

The play rejects traditional plots, desacralizes meanings, loops itself like the ancient symbol of

the ouroboros, the snake biting its own tail.

It exposes us as ordinary humans, trapped inside the existential crisis of our everyday life,

struggling to exist in between the living and the dead.

In the vision of director Nathalie Claude, the stage will be split into two spaces. Two worlds, two

parallel universes. It will be performed by two different cast, at the same time, being the

distorted mirror of each other. Both realities intertwine, like the conscious and the unconscious

parts of ourselves.
