Join us for a conversation investigating the potential of choreographic thinking for an understanding of systems of relations. In doing so, the discussion will address how dance and choreography can function as mediating forces within social and political structures.
This talk which provides an overview of ʻAhahui Noiʻi Noʻeau ʻŌiwi’s (ANNO), or the Research Institute of Indigenous Performance, and a sample of Indigenous dance research approaches including focusing on cultural preservation, healing-centered methods, and creative research through dance-making.
