Description: Join artist-educators Deanna SmithJason SelmanVivek Venkatesh and educational philosopher David Waddington in an interactive conversation that lays bare our assumptions regarding equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in a post-pandemic university context. We’ll collectively address strategies that have inspired us to address EDI in our pedagogies, how to overcome impasses in creating spaces for dialogue, and also discuss how to encourage plurality of viewpoints. The session will be divided into two halves where we’ll hear from our invited speakers through a series of queries posed by our host Vivek Venkatesh, and we’ll then engage in a conversation with our Faculty of Fine Arts participants.
