Explore practical approaches to RAMS

2026 Montréal RAMS brings together Québec’s RAMS community for technical learning, collaboration and industry perspectives.

The opening ceremony will feature Mourad Debbabi, dean of the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science at Concordia University.

Participants will explore resilience and asset management, AI in RAMS, practical applications, data and cloud technologies, continuous airworthiness, medical applications, field cases and autonomous vehicles safety and cybersecurity.

A workshop will focus on the impact of AI on the RAMS ecosystem.

A featured panel, “Role of Academia, Professional Societies and Symposia in Québec’s RAMS Ecosystem,” will examine how these groups contribute knowledge, guidance and connections across Québec’s diverse RAMS industries. Panelists will discuss what industry needs from each of them, followed by an audience Q&A.

Moderator: Dominique Roy, AtkinsRéalis

Panelists:

  • Brian Vermeire, associate dean, Gina Cody School
  • Julio Pulido, president, Society of Reliability Engineers
  • Mel Downes, member of the board of directors, RAMS Symposium

The event also highlights opportunities for student engagement, co-op, capstone projects, mentoring and careers, connecting the next generation of engineers with experienced professionals.

Connect with the community

An in-person networking event sponsored by Google will bring together RAMS experts, Concordia alumni and students from 5 to 7 p.m. on the 9th floor of the John Molson Building, 1450 Guy St., for networking and informal discussion. The evening will also include judging of the student RAMS competition, sponsored by the Society of Reliability Engineers (SRE).

Students who are not participating in the competition and wish to attend the networking event must contact sorin.voiculescu@concordia.ca in advance.
